Description

A refreshing and naturally sweet drink made with ripe watermelon and lime juice, perfect for hot summer days.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed, seedless ripe watermelon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (or honey/agave nectar)
  • 3 cups water
  • 23 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • Fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the watermelon and 1-1/2 cups of the water, lime juice, and sugar at high speed until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a medium strainer into a large pitcher or bowl.
  3. Stir in the remaining 1-1/2 cups of water to dilute the mixture.
  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
  5. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the watermelon agua fresca, garnishing with a mint sprig if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, use freshly squeezed lime juice and consider blending in other fruits like mango or pineapple for a tropical twist.
