Description

A refreshing drink capturing the essence of summer with sweet watermelon and a hint of lime.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups diced, peeled ripe watermelon (seeds removed)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar or low sugar alternative
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons lime juice

Instructions

  1. Place the cut watermelon in the blender along with sugar, water, and lime juice.
  2. Blend at high speed until smooth, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Optional: Pour the drink through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher to remove any pulp.
  4. Note: If you’re making a double batch and it won’t fit in the blender, blend part of the watermelon with some water and sugar, transfer to a pitcher, and then stir in the remaining water.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour in the watermelon agua fresca, and garnish with a mint sprig and/or a slice of lime.
