- 1 1/2 cups pecans
- 1 1/2 cups almonds (raw unsalted or toasted)
- 1 cup cashews (raw, unsalted or toasted)
- 1 1/2 tsp cooking salt / kosher salt
- 25g / 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp chipotle
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Sea salt flakes (for taste)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the pecans, almonds, and cashews in a bowl.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add sugar, water, and all spices, stirring until combined.
- Pour the mixture over the nuts, mixing well to coat evenly.
- Spread the nuts on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and fragrant.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Watch the baking time closely to avoid burning, and allow cooling to ensure a crunchy texture.
