- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, add to skillet, and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and stir to coat. Slice chicken and nestle on top of pasta.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, consider browning the chicken in butter or adding red pepper flakes for some heat.
