Description

A tender chicken dish coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, perfect for weeknight dinners or family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken (cubed)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • Cooked Rice

Instructions

  1. Place your cubed chicken in the bottom of your 4-quart crock pot.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together your honey, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and garlic until well blended.
  3. Pour your sauce over your cubed chicken, evenly coating each piece.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 2-4 hours or on high for 1-2 hours, stirring halfway through cooking to ensure even flavor distribution.
  5. Once cooked, remove your chicken and place it in a warm dish while preparing the sauce.
  6. Pour the cooking sauce into a medium saucepan.
  7. In a small bowl or coffee cup, mix together the corn starch and water until completely blended and stir into the sauce.
  8. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches a rolling boil, then reduce heat and simmer for approximately 7-10 minutes while stirring continually until slightly thickened.
  9. Serve the chicken over a bed of rice with the sauce generously spooned over the top.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for extra flavor and use fresh garlic for the best results.
