Description

Experience bold flavors with this easy-to-make Crockpot Spicy Honey Garlic Chicken served over perfectly cooked rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup rice (jasmine or basmati)
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, sriracha, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce over it.
  3. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is cooked through.
  4. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, add rice and water to the crockpot. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Once done, fluff the rice and serve the chicken over it.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a milder taste, reduce or omit the sriracha. Marinating the chicken overnight can enhance the flavors.
