Description

Deliciously tender buffalo chicken sliders that deliver a perfect balance of heat and creaminess, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • ½ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian, brioche, or potato rolls)
  • Lettuce or coleslaw (optional)
  • Crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. Mix buffalo sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  3. Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  4. Shred the chicken using two forks or a hand mixer. Stir it back into the sauce to ensure it is well coated.
  5. If desired, toast slider buns to add a crispy texture.
  6. Assemble the sliders by placing shredded buffalo chicken on buns. Top with lettuce, coleslaw, blue cheese, or pickles if desired.
  7. Serve immediately with extra buffalo sauce or ranch dressing on the side.

Notes

You can prep ingredients a day ahead and store them in the crockpot insert in the fridge. Consider marinating the chicken overnight in buffalo sauce for extra flavor.
