- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- ½ cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian, brioche, or potato rolls)
- Lettuce or coleslaw (optional)
- Crumbled blue cheese (optional)
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Mix buffalo sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or HIGH for 2-3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
- Shred the chicken using two forks or a hand mixer. Stir it back into the sauce to ensure it is well coated.
- If desired, toast slider buns to add a crispy texture.
- Assemble the sliders by placing shredded buffalo chicken on buns. Top with lettuce, coleslaw, blue cheese, or pickles if desired.
- Serve immediately with extra buffalo sauce or ranch dressing on the side.
Notes
You can prep ingredients a day ahead and store them in the crockpot insert in the fridge. Consider marinating the chicken overnight in buffalo sauce for extra flavor.
