Description

This easy crockpot BBQ chicken recipe creates tender, flavorful pulled chicken that is perfect for family gatherings and casual meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, fat trimmed
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray or use a disposable liner.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, and placed them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Add barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to a bowl and whisk until combined.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken breasts and cover with the lid.
  5. Cook on high for 2.5-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.
  6. Check the internal temperature to ensure it reaches 165 degrees.
  7. Shred the chicken using two forks or serve whole as desired.
  8. Enjoy on buns, over rice, or as a topping for various dishes.

For maximum flavor, let the chicken marinate in the sauce for a few hours or overnight.
