This easy pulled chicken, infused with savory barbecue sauce and Italian dressing, is perfect for any gathering.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, with fat trimmed off
- 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ)
- 1/2 cup Italian dressing (fat-free recommended)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (can reduce to 1/8 cup or omit)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to a bowl and whisk until combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Cover with the lid and cook on high for 2.5-3 hours or low for 5-6 hours.
- Check the chicken’s internal temperature to ensure it’s at 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Shred the chicken with two forks directly in the crockpot or serve whole.
- Serve on buns for sandwiches or over rice, tacos, or nachos.
Notes
Marinate the chicken in the sauce overnight for enhanced flavors. This recipe doubles easily for larger gatherings.
