- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 and 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts into the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, covering each piece well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks directly in the pot.
- Stir shredded chicken into the sauce and let it sit for 15-20 minutes on warm before serving.
Notes
For different flavors, try using chicken thighs or shredded rotisserie chicken. Adjust the seasoning for your preference.
