Description

Delicious and easy-to-make sliders featuring tender chicken and gooey mozzarella, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (kept together and not broken apart)
  • 1/2 lb thinly sliced deli chicken
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (OR 8 slices of mozzarella cheese)
  • 1/2 cup Butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all the rolls on a large cutting board and slice all your rolls in half at the same time (do not break them apart) and gently remove the tops as one big piece.
  2. Layer chicken slices on the bottom halves of the rolls that are still all connected.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over chicken or lay mozzarella slices evenly across the top of the chicken.
  4. Place the top halves of your rolls back on top of the bottom part of the sliders.
  5. Slide the sliders as one large loaf off the cutting board and into a casserole crock pot.
  6. Mix together remaining ingredients in a small bowl or coffee cup.
  7. Brush the tops of the sliders with the butter mixture liberally using a basting brush.
  8. Cover and cook on high for 1.5 to 2 hours, turning your insert halfway through if your slow cooker doesn’t cook evenly.
  9. Broil on the lower rack in your oven with your broiler on high for 30-60 seconds to crisp up the tops if desired. (Watch continuously to prevent burning.)
  10. Cut the sliders apart and serve.

Notes

These sliders are great for gatherings and can be made ahead of time. Add additional layers of cheese or protein for a heartier option. Keep an eye on the broiler to avoid overcooking.
