Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 1 cup canned pie filling (topping of choice)

Instructions

  1. Stir graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together until moistened. Press mixture into an 8 or 9-inch glass pie plate and refrigerate to set the crust.
  2. Mix softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth, scraping sides to eliminate lumps. Add vanilla extract and mix again.
  3. Add the cold heavy cream gradually, letting it whip into the cream cheese mixture after each addition. Whip for 1 minute until thick and light.
  4. Pour the cheesecake filling into the prepared pie shell, smoothing the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to overnight to set.
  5. Serve by cutting into slices and topping each piece with pie filling or whipped cream if desired.
