Description

Delightful pastries filled with a creamy cheese mixture, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth in a bowl.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and brush with egg wash.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. You can prepare the filling in advance and store in the refrigerator.
