- 1 package of puff pastry
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares.
- Mix together the cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth in a bowl.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best served warm. You can prepare the filling in advance and store in the refrigerator.
