Description

Tender, flavorful BBQ pulled chicken made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (Trimmed)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (Just a pinch)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (Freshly ground)
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey BBQ recommended)
  • 1/2 cup Italian Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  2. Place the seasoned chicken in the slow cooker.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, depending on your available time.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the cooker, shred it with two forks, and return it to the sauce to absorb even more flavor before serving.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate chicken in sauce overnight; freeze shredded chicken in sauce for up to three months.
