Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Test oil with a small amount of batter.
  5. Scoop tablespoons of batter and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
