- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 3 large eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 24 ladyfinger biscuits
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- Combine brewed coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish. Dip ladyfingers briefly and arrange in a serving dish.
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Fold in the mascarpone until smooth.
- Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold it into the mascarpone mixture.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- Spread half of the mixture over the ladyfingers. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
For the best flavor, allow the tiramisu to chill overnight. Use quality coffee and mascarpone for the best results.
