Ingredients

- 3–4 pounds chuck roast
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- Optional: Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chuck roast generously with salt, pepper, and paprika, ensuring it’s well-coated for maximum flavor.
- In the Instant Pot or slow cooker, add the chopped onion and minced garlic.
- Place the seasoned roast on top of the onions and garlic.
- In a separate bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Pour over the roast.
- For Instant Pot: Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 60 minutes. Allow natural release. For slow cooker: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the roast using two forks and mix it with the sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
For best results, season the roast the night before. Leftovers can be frozen for up to three months.
