Description
A delightful combination of sweet cranberries and fiery jalapeños, perfect for snacks, gifts, and holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 cups jalapeño peppers, chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, chopped jalapeños, granulated sugar, apple cider vinegar, and water. Stir until well combined.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring frequently.
- Once it reaches boiling, reduce the heat to low. Allow it to simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency, and the cranberries burst.
- Stir occasionally to keep it from sticking and ensure even cooking; the final texture should be syrupy and slightly thick.
- Carefully pour the hot candy into sterilized jars, leaving about half an inch at the top. Let the jars cool completely before sealing them with lids.
Notes
Keep jars and lids pre-sterilized to ensure longer shelf life. For a smoother texture, blend the mixture slightly after cooking.
