Description
These sweet and sticky steak bites combine the flavors of honey and soy sauce for a deliciously savory and sweet dish that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic, and ginger to create a mouthwatering marinade.
- Toss the steak pieces into the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb those incredible flavors.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Remove the steak from the marinade (set the marinade aside) and sear the bites in the skillet for about 3–4 minutes, cooking them until they’re browned and cooked through.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet, allowing it to thicken for an additional 1–2 minutes over the high heat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
- Serve warm and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For deeper flavor, consider marinating the steak longer. Use quality cuts of meat for the best results.
