Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan liberally with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture in three parts, alternating with the buttermilk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and just enough milk to achieve the desired drizzling consistency.
- Once the cake is fully cooled, drizzle the chocolate glaze over the top and let it set slightly before slicing.
Notes
Adjust the milk in the glaze for your preferred thickness. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
