- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup beef broth or water
Instructions
- In an Instant Pot, set to sauté mode, brown the ground beef until it is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat for a cleaner flavor.
- Add the diced onions and minced garlic; sauté until the onions become translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, and beef broth, mixing well to combine all the ingredients.
- Close the lid of the Instant Pot, set to high pressure for 10 minutes, then allow the pressure to release naturally.
- If using a slow cooker, combine all the ingredients in it and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For a healthier option, swap ground beef for turkey or a vegetarian protein like lentils. This casserole can be made in advance and frozen.
