Description

A comforting pasta dish with creamy heat and bright flavors, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz pasta (farfalle or penne)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes, then add heavy cream and chicken broth.
  5. Bring to a simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add cooked pasta, tossing to combine.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream and substituting chicken for firm tofu for a vegan option.
