Description

A comforting Spaghetti Bolognese that combines savory meat sauce with twirling pasta, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 800 g ground beef
  • 6 carrots, grated
  • 1 small celery root, finely diced
  • 25 ml olive oil
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 7 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 400 g crushed canned tomatoes
  • 200 ml broth or water
  • 180 g red wine or grape juice
  • Salt, pepper, Italian herbs, chili flakes (to taste)
  • Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Grate the carrots and finely dice the celery root, onion, and garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat, add the vegetables, and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook for one minute.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Pour in the red wine and allow it to reduce.
  6. Stir in crushed tomatoes and broth, mixing well.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs, then simmer for 30-45 minutes.
  8. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  9. Serve the spaghetti topped with Bolognese sauce and grated Parmesan.
