Description

A delightful sourdough discard pizza crust that elevates your pizza experience with its tangy flavor and easy preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups sourdough starter (discard)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, salt, and water. Stir until a shaggy dough begins to form.
  2. Lightly flour your countertop and knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add more flour if it’s too sticky.
  3. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for at least 1 hour at room temperature, or refrigerate it overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  6. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the surface with olive oil, add toppings, and bake for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For best results, allow the dough to rest for achieving better flavor and texture.
