Description
Juicy smash burger patties on toasted tortillas with a creamy, tangy burger sauce and classic toppings. Ready in 20 minutes and insanely craveable!
Ingredients
Burger Sauce:
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp finely chopped dill pickles
1/2 tsp pickle juice
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp rice vinegar
Smash Burger Tacos:
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
3/4 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
6 slices American cheese
6 flour tortillas (street taco size)
Shredded lettuce
Burger pickles
Optional toppings: bacon, white onion
Instructions
1. Make burger sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Stir and set aside.
2. Mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide into 6 balls.
3. Preheat flat top griddle to medium-high heat.
4. Place burger balls on griddle and smash flat with a press (15–20 seconds each).
5. Let cook for 40 seconds, flip, and add cheese.
6. Place tortillas on the griddle at the same time. Close lid and cook for ~2 minutes.
7. Flip tortillas. Transfer patties to tortillas.
8. Top with shredded lettuce, burger sauce, and pickles. Add optional bacon or onions if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
No burger press? Use a spatula and a can to press patties.
Try using two pans—one for patties, one for tortillas—for faster cooking.
Burger sauce can be made ahead and stored for up to 5 days.
