Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a small bowl using the microwave or stovetop. Stir in minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker in a single layer.
3. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.
4. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the chicken.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
6. Transfer the chicken to a serving plate and spoon sauce over the top.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
