Description
A heartwarming dish featuring tender chicken cooked in a creamy, rich gravy, perfect for family gatherings and comforting meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by laying the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ranch seasoning mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of both salt and pepper. Mix well to blend all ingredients.
- Carefully pour the mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker, ensuring they’re coated evenly for maximum flavor.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked through and tender to touch.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred into bite-sized pieces.
- Return the shredded chicken back to the slow cooker and stir to combine with the gravy, letting it simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes on low.
- Taste the gravy and adjust seasoning as desired before serving.
Notes
For maximum tenderness, allow the chicken to cook on low. You can add fresh herbs or vegetables for added flavor.
