Ingredients

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, heat the vegetable oil on a stovetop and sauté the onions until translucent. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking until softened.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the pot, searing until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in curry powder, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, and salt until chicken is well-coated.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk, mixing thoroughly to ensure chicken is submerged.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
