- 1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 (16 oz) jar of your favorite Alfredo sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- Optional: Red pepper flakes for a touch of heat
- 1 lb pasta of your choice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing chicken, optional)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- If desired, sear the chicken breasts in olive oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the minced garlic and Italian seasoning over the chicken.
- Pour Alfredo sauce over the chicken, ensuring they’re mostly covered.
- Add softened cream cheese to the slow cooker.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
- Shred the chicken with two forks in the slow cooker.
- Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Cook pasta according to package directions, then combine it with the shredded chicken and broccoli.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
For a richer sauce, consider using half-and-half instead of heavy cream. Experiment with adding vegetables for added nutrition.
