Description

A delicious and easy sheet pan dinner featuring sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli, all coated in a flavorful honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz chicken or turkey sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, cubed (1/2-inch pieces)
  • 2 cups broccoli, chopped into small florets
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.

2. Prepare the ingredients by slicing the sausage into 1/2-inch rounds, cubing the sweet potatoes, and chopping the broccoli into florets.

3. Arrange sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli evenly across the sheet pan, ensuring nothing overlaps too much for proper roasting.

4. Make the sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar to the pan. Stir well and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

6. Pour sauce over the sheet pan ingredients. Toss everything gently to coat evenly in the honey garlic mixture.

7. Roast for 25-30 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even browning. The sweet potatoes should be tender and the sausage lightly browned.

8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Use pre-cooked sausage for convenience and to ensure it’s heated through quickly.

Toss ingredients halfway through for even caramelization.

Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicy kick.

Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days; reheat in the oven or microwave.
