- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, corn, carrots)
- 1 package (8 oz) egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Gently fold in the cooked egg noodles and frozen mixed vegetables until evenly coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Combine crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until heated through and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a crispier top, broil for the last couple of minutes. You can prepare the casserole in advance and bake later.
