Description
A delightful bowl combining tender tuna with aromatic garlic and rosemary, served with warm, buttery potatoes for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 whole Tuna (fresh or canned)
- 5 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 4 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
- 2 large Onions (sliced)
- 4 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil)
- 2 pieces Lemons (zested and juiced)
- 4 large Potatoes (optional, diced)
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Begin by mincing the garlic and slicing the onions. If using fresh tuna, dice it into bite-sized chunks. Set aside.
- In a large pot, add diced potatoes and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cook until tender, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter or heat olive oil. Add sliced onions and cook until they’re soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and rosemary; cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the tuna to the skillet, breaking it apart gently with a spatula. Sprinkle with lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper; cook until warmed through, about 3-4 minutes.
- Gently fold in the potatoes until well mixed. Serve warm and enjoy every savory bite!
Notes
Fresh tuna is ideal, but canned works well; just ensure it’s packed in olive oil for a richer flavor. Use fresh rosemary for the best aroma.
