- 1 pound ground sausage
- 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
- 4 medium potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons flour (for gravy)
- 1/4 cup water (for gravy)
Instructions
- In an Instant Pot or slow cooker, brown the ground sausage over medium heat for about 5 minutes until cooked through.
- Add in the sliced smoked sausage, diced potatoes, chopped onion, and minced garlic, stirring to combine all ingredients.
- Pour the chicken broth over the mixture, then season with the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to incorporate all the flavors.
- Secure the lid on your Instant Pot or slow cooker. If using an Instant Pot, cook on high pressure for 10 minutes; if using a slow cooker, set it on low for 6-8 hours.
- For a delicious gravy, mix the flour with water to create a slurry. Stir this mixture into the sausage and potato mixture in the last 10 minutes in the Instant Pot or after cooking in the slow cooker.
- Allow the dish to thicken, then serve it warm, and enjoy the delightful aroma wafting through your kitchen.
