Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons flour (for gravy)
  • 1/4 cup water (for gravy)

Instructions

  1. In an Instant Pot or slow cooker, brown the ground sausage over medium heat for about 5 minutes until cooked through.
  2. Add in the sliced smoked sausage, diced potatoes, chopped onion, and minced garlic, stirring to combine all ingredients.
  3. Pour the chicken broth over the mixture, then season with the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to incorporate all the flavors.
  4. Secure the lid on your Instant Pot or slow cooker. If using an Instant Pot, cook on high pressure for 10 minutes; if using a slow cooker, set it on low for 6-8 hours.
  5. For a delicious gravy, mix the flour with water to create a slurry. Stir this mixture into the sausage and potato mixture in the last 10 minutes in the Instant Pot or after cooking in the slow cooker.
  6. Allow the dish to thicken, then serve it warm, and enjoy the delightful aroma wafting through your kitchen.
