- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Optional: In a skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil and sear chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In your crockpot, combine cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot, ensuring they’re coated in the creamy sauce.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Once done, shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks, mixing it with the creamy sauce.
- Stir in the sour cream for extra creaminess. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and let it melt, garnished with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute chicken with chickpeas or jackfruit, and use a plant-based cream soup.
