Description

A bright and buttery baked salmon dish infused with lemon and garlic, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin removed (about 24oz / 680g)
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 2 teaspoons dried)
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 lemon slices (optional, for topping)
  • Extra herbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper, aluminum foil, or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Arrange salmon fillets evenly spaced in the middle of the pan.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spoon the mixture evenly over the salmon fillets. If desired, place a lemon slice on top of each fillet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork, or reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. For even cooking, let fillets sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before baking.
