- 2 cups pretzel crumbs
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Cooking spray or oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix the pretzel crumbs, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast in the beaten eggs, then coat with the pretzel mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
- In a small saucepan, combine Dijon mustard and cheddar cheese over medium heat until melted and smooth.
- Serve the chicken hot, drizzled with the mustard-cheddar sauce.
Notes
For a juicier cut, consider using chicken thighs. To make ahead, prepare the chicken up to a day in advance.
