- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups pizza sauce
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 6–8 medium flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper or mushrooms (optional)
- Cooking spray or oil, for greasing the baking dish
- Chopped fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned, ensuring to drain excess fat afterward.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat.
- Spoon a few tablespoons of the beef mixture into each tortilla, sprinkle with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, then roll up tightly.
- Place the rolled tortillas seam-side down in the baking dish.
- Pour remaining beef and sauce mixture over the top and finish with leftover cheese. Add black olives or peppers if using.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped basil or parsley, serve hot, and enjoy!
