Description

Deliciously tempting dessert rolls filled with sweet pecan goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Reserve 2 tablespoons of this mixture for later use.
  3. Stir in the chopped pecans until evenly coated.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles on the baking sheet. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of pecan filling onto the widest part of each triangle.
  5. Roll the dough towards the narrow end, enclosing the filling completely.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with the reserved sugar mixture. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top before serving if desired.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing the filling a day in advance; refrigerate. These rolls can be frozen after partial baking.
