- 4 small–medium chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup light or heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning or oregano
Instructions
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs.
- Add olive oil to the skillet and sear the chicken breasts for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F/75°C).
- Toss minced garlic into the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute. Pour in the cream and add Italian seasoning, simmering for a few minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak in the creamy sauce for another 2-3 minutes.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or white wine to the sauce. Fresh herbs make a lovely garnish.
