- Sushi rice
- 1 cucumber (julienned)
- 1 carrot (julienned)
- 1 avocado (sliced)
- Crab meat or imitation crab
- Soy sauce (for serving)
- Wasabi (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare sushi rice according to package instructions and allow it to cool.
- Lay a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat.
- Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small edge.
- Place julienned cucumber, carrot, avocado, and crab meat in the center of the rice.
- Using the bamboo mat, carefully roll the sushi tightly from the edge closest to you.
- Seal the edge of the nori with a little water.
- Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve with soy sauce and wasabi, if desired.
Notes
For best texture, use a very sharp knife dipped in water between cuts. Keep rolled sushi wrapped in plastic wrap until serving.
