- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In another dish, whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Place the flour in a third dish to create a dredging station.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, coat in egg mixture, and then cover with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the coated chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan and mozzarella over each piece, and add minced garlic.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Notes
For a crispy crust, avoid rushing the dredging process. Use a thermometer for perfectly cooked chicken.
