Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Pour the chicken broth around the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 2.5 to 3.5 hours, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing or shredding.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken with the spice blend for a few hours or overnight before cooking. Leftovers can be used for salads, wraps, or sandwiches.
