Description
A cozy taco comfort dish that combines orzo pasta with bold Mexican flavors for a quick, satisfying meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by browning the ground beef in the Instant Pot using the sauté setting. Cook until fully browned, and drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning, orzo pasta, salsa, and beef broth to the pot. Mix well to ensure the orzo is fully submerged in the flavorful liquid.
- Close the Instant Pot lid securely and set it to cook on high pressure for 4 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on the timer!
- Once the cooking time is complete, carefully perform a quick release of the pressure. This will help maintain the lovely texture of the orzo.
- If you like, stir in the shredded cheese now, letting it melt beautifully into the dish. Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro for an extra pop of color and flavor before serving.
Notes
For best results, do not overcook the orzo. Customize with your preferred ingredients for a personal touch.
