Ingredients

  • 6 Croissants, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups Whole Milk
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar, for dusting
  • 1 cup Fresh Berries or Whipped Cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut your croissants into 1-inch pieces and place them evenly in a greased baking dish.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until melted. Drizzle half of the melted chocolate over the croissant pieces.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring each piece is soaked thoroughly. Drizzle the remaining melted chocolate on top.
  5. Allow the mixture to sit for 15 minutes to soak up the flavors.
  6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and slightly set.
  7. Let the baked dish cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar. Serve warm with fresh berries or a dollop of whipped cream.
