Description
Crispy honey butter garlic chicken tenders cooked in an air fryer for a healthier version of a classic favorite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together honey, melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper until blended.
- Add the chicken tenders to the bowl, ensuring they are coated evenly with the honey garlic mixture. Let them marinate for a few minutes for more flavor.
- On a separate plate, spread out the breadcrumbs in an even layer.
- Dredge each chicken tender in the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully coated for that enticing crunch.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and spray the basket lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the breaded chicken tenders in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to crowd them.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the coating is a beautiful golden brown.
- Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving to maintain juiciness.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider giving the tenders a second spray of cooking oil halfway through the cooking time.
