Description

A delightful blend of herbs and fresh vegetables creating a warm medley, perfect for holidays or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups dried bread cubes
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cups celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onions and celery, sautéing until soft for about 5–7 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the dried bread cubes and the sautéed onion and celery mixture.
  5. Stir in the herbs and enough broth to moisten the mixture.
  6. Transfer the stuffing to a baking dish and dot with additional butter on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30–40 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top.

Notes

Allow the bread to dry for optimal texture; space to experiment with ingredients for personal preferences.
