- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, mixed vegetables, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir until well blended, then incorporate 1 cup of shredded cheese, keeping some aside for the topping.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the reserved cheese on top, followed by the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs.
- If desired, drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the casserole is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
