Description

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup gingerbread cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Glaze or chocolate shell for topping

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over the water and let it bloom for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, crushed gingerbread cookies, cooled brewed coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Stir in the bloomed gelatin and melted chocolate until smooth.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated.
  6. Fill silicone or dome molds with the mousse mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Once set, carefully unmold the domes and drizzle with a glaze or chocolate shell.
  8. Serve cold and enjoy.
