- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix the applesauce, molasses, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
- For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and slice to serve.
