Description

A heartwarming holiday delight filled with a creamy and cheesy mixture, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the jumbo pasta shells in salted water until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until creamy.
  4. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Stuff each shell with the cheese filling and place seam side up in the dish.
  6. Pour the remaining marinara over the shells, ensuring they are well coated, and sprinkle additional mozzarella on top.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing shells up to the baking step. Freeze for later or refrigerate before baking.
