- 20 jumbo pasta shells
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil the jumbo pasta shells in salted water until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until creamy.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Stuff each shell with the cheese filling and place seam side up in the dish.
- Pour the remaining marinara over the shells, ensuring they are well coated, and sprinkle additional mozzarella on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing shells up to the baking step. Freeze for later or refrigerate before baking.
